Introducing Zoe's Place

Camp Timberline in Estes Park, CO is very special to our family. Both Zoe and her sister Megan were campers for six consecutive summers. Their lives were changed by the "best week of the year" that included mountain adventure experiences and copious amounts of love poured into them by the counselors and the staff.

Summer 2012 was their first!

Last summer Camp T built a swinging bench to honor and remember Zoe. It is majestic and the spot is called "Zoe's Place."

The Camp T team told us about their hunt for the perfect rock to display the new plaque. They scoured the forested hills above camp until they found one a quarter mile away. They had to drive a skid steer up to unearth it and haul it back to camp!

We had the opportunity to go up to see it last summer once it was completed. Wow! Despite there being many campers & families around, they put a "Reserved for the Anderson Family" sign so it would be ready for us to enjoy when we arrived. And we did just that.

We met up with our dear friend Kim, who was instrumental in working with the Camp T team and arranging funding to make the project happen.

It was an emotional and powerful moment that we will cherish for many years to come.

Megan is a counselor at Camp T this summer and sent along a picture of her soaking in the beauty at Zoe's Place.

Thank you Silver Fox, Momma D, Kim, Andrew, and the entire Camp T maintenance team for creating Zoe's Place. We hope that anyone who enjoys this spot will experience peace, joy, and abundant life.
